My short 4 track EP, “2020”, first took form before the year it’s named after before all of this insanity took over. I often think it’s best to leave a song’s meaning up to the interpretation of the listener. But, if there were an outlet to air out my thoughts of my songs, it would be here. So I’ll go through each track in the lineage of which they’re recorded and break them down.

Warsaw Ghosts
The song ‘Warsaw Ghosts’ from The Family Grave’s album Everybody Is Flawed is a tribute to the Polish capital, soaked in history and emotion. Here, its writer explains.

Carpenters? Zappa? Beatles? How I self-produced a Ghibli-esque concept album
The songs for the latest record have come together in such a cohesive manner, but I’m still wondering where I got this fully-hatched story of a Ghibli-esque fox who comes of age in a fictional city…
Between Continents: Feathers, Wood ‘N’ String write rock music from across the globe.
by Sarah Fletcher, Feathers, Wood ‘N’ String
Feathers, Wood ‘N’ String was born of a move between continents, a 24 hour trip between us and our family and friends, a new climate and culture, and unrestricted time together, just ourselves and Lloyd’s guitar. Three years on, we have developed our own brand of alternative rock, varying from soaring indie clean tones to heavy distorted ones, and we produce all this on our own in a one bedroom flat in Southampton, UK, a base 16,356 kilometers from our hometown of Adelaide, South Australia.

Creating As Purpose
When the daily grind seems without purpose creating music is my way out. This was of course not by intent or design.
