Music has always been said to be a universal language, but I don’t agree. Music has as many meanings as people who listen to it. What for us can be a sad melody, for someone from the other side of the world, it can be the happiest of songs, that’s why I refuse to believe that music is universal. However, I don’t think this is a problem, but an advantage to be able to communicate with ourselves. Art shows us the reality that we need to see.

Being a self-taught guitarist and drummer, my journey into music production started back in 2014 when I was living in Borneo, Malaysia. I was very lucky that one of my teachers, a music producer himself, showed me how to do it. Traveling around Asia, hearing each place’s tune greatly influenced the vibe of my latest album ‘Silent Scream’ which is a collection of memories from there.

At the time of writing this I am 14 years old, a freshman in high school, and chock-full of angst. I write music to express how I feel— so basically just to bitch to the universe about whatever shit is happening in my life — however, I take it seriously and put a lot of effort into what I make because it makes me happy.

I’m a 26-year-old Electronic Rock musician from the New River Valley in southwest Virginia. X-P38 started as a form of experimental techno mixed with a little bit of hip hop and a dash of rock. There are currently 40 self-produced albums and releases on my Bandcamp, and I’m still working almost every day to write music because I love to express my feelings through any kind of sound that I can make.
