Glitchtech, the anxiety-driven machine made man with an ear to the subway walls and an eye on the truth. The Thin Man, the pure diamond of barely-repressed spite with a literal cult following. If there was one song that I’ve written that sums up my whole life perfectly it is “As strange as fiction.” I’m sorry to admit that I’ve burned some bridges in life, especially when I was younger. And to be honest, this has probably been a factor that has held me back in music. I hope I have learned from this.

I basically just make music as a way to express something that’s not really that easy to say. I record and produce everything myself as well, so it’s a pretty personal thing for me. Expression is the key: If I don’t have anything I feel I need to say, I usually don’t have a song to write.

The song Too Late off our recently released EP Smoke Signals, which to the naked ear sounds like a love song about two people who are realizing they may be near the end of their relationship is, in fact, an analogy of a story that happened to myself and a friend of mine while backpacking across Europe.
Brit-Pop, the Elastica Way
Recently I read an article on Glorious Noise about the Regrettes. I love that kind of music, but it also always transfers me back to the late 80s, early 90s and the hights of Brit-Pop. One of my favorites of that time was Elastica, with their fresh, alternative understanding of pop music.
