As an established composer of music for picture, my writing has been featured in documentary series throughout Europe. But for my debut EP, “Content”, I wanted to take a new approach.
In the last few years, I’ve had to travel a lot. Capturing sounds from the various places I’ve visited and putting them together into this EP has been therapeutic, like keeping a journal.

The Sun looked like a prison break. I woke up in a suburb of Seattle and stared drowsily out of a stranger’s bedroom window. My wife was talking to an admirer of hers around the scattered ashes of a campfire from the night before. There was a mysterious text message from an unknown number on the blue screen of a broken iPhone. It was clear that the veils to what folks call the spirit world were perceptibly thin. Little hints of future memory flickered with mischievous honesty through the cracked wallpaper in the shadows of the room.
Being a self-taught guitarist and drummer, my journey into music production started back in 2014 when I was living in Borneo, Malaysia. I was very lucky that one of my teachers, a music producer himself, showed me how to do it. Traveling around Asia, hearing each place’s tune greatly influenced the vibe of my latest album ‘Silent Scream’ which is a collection of memories from there.

I always knew music was the path I wanted to devote my life to. Over the last few years of high school the constant batter of society with its expectations pushed me into believing that I needed to have a backup plan, a plan B. I was always pretty academic and loved learning whatever I could get my hands on. So with this plan B in mind, I followed the rest of the sheep and went to uni to do a Bachelor of Science at Sydney University. Even though I knew music was my passion.
