It’s that simple. Your thoughts make you. So to improve, your thoughts must change. But when did thoughts get there? Your way of thinking is established as a child. Think of it as a computer being programmed. Most children’s introduction to social situations is introduced through children’s programming like cartoons. Kids are usually happy because they see life as a cartoon, where fun is the priority of life. As they get older, thoughts get corrupted.

They start understanding bad intentions, overreactions, injustice, malice, and all the words that make human beings seem like war criminals. Our understanding of what is not fair and just is the cause of negative feelings. After years of being exposed to this, some people get stuck in this stage of human monster behavior and convince themselves that every human being is this way. This is where the cynical person finds its beginning.
Who we are, is also the outcome of how we were raised and the information that was put in our brain by our parents. Sad to say, a lot of that information could have been misinformation. To improve, we must unprogram our brain, by correcting misconceptions from the past.
We need to stop believing wrong assumptions; once we stop thinking this way, things will get better. Writing music is of great assistance in this process. As a matter of fact, any art form is.
