Music is often perceived as an act of pure creation. However, for our new collaborative EP CrIspP, my partner Aymantium and I wanted to explore the primal beauty of decay. The central concept underlying the entire release is dark, surreal, and provocative: the decaying body of Jimi Hendrix. It serves as a metaphor for the disintegration of traditional guitar-driven rock music, left to decompose and mutate into a chaotic electronic ecosystem. To bring this vision to life, I took Aymantium’s original tracks and completely turned them on their heads. I pulled apart the seams of his arrangements until his guitar work literally turned to dust, assembling these sonic particles into something utterly alien, fluid, and heavy.

HyperR
The EP opens with a furious burst of organic growth. “HyperR” is a thriving, botanical hyper-pop frenzy, a sprawling jungle of synthesized textures where digital life forms crowd out the remnants of the acoustic world. It sets a vibrant yet unstable tone for the rest of the record.
sPine
The madness presented in the first track doesn’t fade; it mutates. “sPine” serves as a direct continuation, but the sound begins to swell and distort. It deforms into a heavy, pumping groove that feels physically massive, propelling itself forward with a mutated, infectious rhythm.
MuD
This track evokes a sense of sun-drenched summer hyper-pop chaos. It thrives on the unpredictability of live samples, continually evolving through distorted fragments of twisted, shredded Aymantium guitars. Everything is held together by a stark, minimalist rhythm that allows the sonic debris to bubble to the surface.
tEETh
“tEETh” is an exploration of extreme sonic contrast. It begins in an eerie, desolate place, an ambient wilderness where the air seems thin and silent. But this silence is a trap; it suddenly erupts into a screaming frenzy, assaulted by crushing, aggressive hardcore beats.
AliEn CuNT
Easily the most fluid, viscous, and atmospheric track on the album, listening to “AliIEn CuNT” is like exploring a deep underground cave. Every surface is slick with moisture, completely covered in a thick layer of moss, alien-like blooming flowers, and dripping slime. It’s captivating, wet, and mesmerizingly strange.
jiMMY
An emotional low point in terms of pure, unadulterated anxiety, “jiMMY” challenges the listener head-on. It begins with powerful, industrial metal strikes that shake the speakers before dissolving into a suffocating, deathly chaos that embodies the EP’s main theme.
sUTUre
A direct, anatomical continuation of “jiMMY,” but reworked to be much more rhythmic and destructive. “sUTUre” takes the previous track’s terrifying anxiety and transforms it into a powerful, heavy, and body-shaking sound designed to tear everything apart.
HaND
We conclude the EP with “hAND.” It’s a deeply melancholic, haunting composition, evoking the heavy atmosphere of life’s final days. It acts as a beautiful, tragic fade into darkness—a slow meditation on what remains after the guitar has turned to dust and the body has finally stopped decomposing.
CrIspP is an exploration of what happens when you destroy the familiar to allow something completely mutated to grow in its place. Listen to CriSP now and immerse yourself in beautiful decay.
