by Ethan Hall
Ethan Thomas Hall’s music is characterized by isolation, poverty, and perversion. No other artist quite captures the modern struggle of the straight white male to such a scathing and saucy degree, completely DIY and unsigned proletariat pop.

Hailing from the desolate Pittsville on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Ethan Thomas Hall emerged as a songwriting menace, equal parts Bukowski, Thompson and Kazinski. Armed with only a stolen digital recorder and bottom feeder plywood guitars, Mr. Hall berated the world with album after album of crude, powerful, and yet poetic, melodies.
Not one to be merely contented with traditional format, Mr.Hall continues to push the envelope on song structure, utilizing prepared balalaikas, bizarre tunings and avantgard recording techniques. However, the most exciting thing about Mr. Hall’s music is the joy of wondering what he does next.
