From the earliest days of my consciousness, I found myself inexplicably drawn to the enigmatic allure of music, its haunting melodies and mysterious harmonies resonating deep within my soul. It was amidst the vibrant tapestry of Poland that I first encountered the tantalizing whispers of inspiration, the rhythmic pulse of the streets echoing in harmony with the beat of my heart. But the vibrant city of Kumamoto, Japan, became the crucible of my artistic evolution. Immersed in the pulsating rhythms of electronic music, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and relentless exploration. Amidst the bustling streets and vibrant nightlife, I honed my skills as a producer and sound engineer, meticulously refining every aspect of my craft.
The genesis of MAN1K began with a humble remix of “Tired” by You Love Her, a modest yet pivotal moment in my musical journey. Released over a year ago, this initial spark of creativity served as a catalyst for a series of groundbreaking releases.
Among these releases, “Hextronic” emerged as a hauntingly evocative debut single, capturing the hearts of listeners and catapulting me into the spotlight of the Ukrainian electronic music scene. As accolades poured in and my music found its way onto the airwaves of prestigious radio stations and curated playlists, I felt a deep gratitude for recognizing my artistry.
Artistic Evolution
As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of the serendipitous nature of artistic evolution. One year ago, on March 10, 2023, my remix of Covetous by Red Vekoma marked the inception of my official discography. Though my connection with the producer has faded, I remain grateful for the opportunity he provided, propelling me into electronic music and setting the stage for the adventures that have since unfolded.
Yet, the fateful night of February 17, 2024, would genuinely define my journey as an artist. Invited as a DJ at the (div) party in Kumamoto by my colleague, ryosei, I took center stage amidst a modest gathering, each face aglow with anticipation, eager to be enveloped by the hypnotic rhythms of Witch-House. In the throes of the pulsating beats, I felt an energy coursing through my veins, a primal connection to the music that pulsed with life. Embraced by the intimate crowd, I introduced a unique and otherworldly sound, marking a milestone in my musical evolution. It was a moment of triumph, a testament to the transformative power of music to unite and inspire.
But my journey is far from over. Standing on the precipice of further exploration, I am acutely aware of the monumental task ahead. Each day, I continue refining my craft, pushing sound boundaries, and exploring new realms of sonic possibility. Currently, I am immersed in the creation of DeadRay’s debut album, a magnum opus that promises to redefine the very fabric of electronic music.
