We have just released our 2nd CD album titled ‘A World Is Waiting’
This is our first music release of 2020. The album contains 15 original songs, some of which have been previously released as singles in the lead up to the full album.
Together, we wrote, recorded and produced all 15 tracks, as well as creating the dreamy accompanying artwork featured throughout the CD’s 6 panel Digipak case.
The album has a focus on positivity, the lyrics are heartfelt, and the songs are infused with sisterly harmonies and acoustic guitar, guiding the music somewhere between the genres of pop and folk.
The 3rd track on the album ‘Seaside Dreaming’ was awarded 1st place at the 2019 Noosa FM ’21 Summers’ songwriting contest and has since been announced as a finalist in the 2020 Queensland Music Awards. It’s a song about a photograph of us at the beach when we were kids. It reminds us of our childhood and the wonderful, magical times we had on family holidays at the beach when we were little. We collaborated during the writing process, sharing ideas and inspirations.
In 2019 we began live performance of our original music, which has enabled us to engage with listeners face to face in a new, more personal way. It has been a very rewarding experience and a great way to share our music with a wider audience. This year we are looking forward to playing at upcoming local festivals and events, and continuing our songwriting journey.
We are excited to see what 2020 holds for us!
